This appetizer has been a standard since the Sunset magazine early years. Since Sunset magazine started in 1898, not sure if it goes back ways-away-that-far-back,but if I were to guess I would say 60's or 70's as the ingredients tell-it-so. This app. is ever so easy and not only to be enjoyed as an app to a start off a party but a great tidbit for movie night or for a dinner appie night.

This is another vintage-inspired appetizer, molded from the Hasty Hots recipe in the 1965 Sunset Appetizer Book. I added my own spin to these parmesan onion mayonnaise toasts, with added garlic and paprika, but without skimping on the mayonnaise or cheese. All it takes to have these tiny toasts prepped, assembled, and broiled is 10 minutes.
