Paula Deen’s Squash Casserole (Easy, Cheesy Recipe) Insanely Good
Drain thoroughly, pressing out excess water with back of spoon. Mash squash and onion with potato masher. Mix with half the butter, the cracker crumbs, eggs, sugar, to taste, salt and pepper. Pour into greased casserole dish. Pour remaining butter on top and sprinkle with additional cracker crumbs. Bake at 375F for 45-60 minutes, or until top.

Wash and cut up squash. Boil until tender. Drain. Mash. Add all ingredients except 1/2 of the margarine and bread crumbs. Add crumbs to remaining melted margarine. Step 1. Place the cut yellow squash into a pot of boiling water. Cook for 10 minutes. Drain the squash and cool in the refrigerator. In a medium bowl, combine the 1/2 cup of melted butter, sugar, salt, black pepper, eggs and 1 cup of cracker meal and mix thoroughly. Add the cooled squash and mix until fully blended together.
