How To Make Football Dip. We have found that layering in the order listed works the best, but feel free to layer any way you prefer. Step 1: Combine the beans with the taco seasoning. 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder. 1/4 tsp Salt. Sprinkle chicken with salt and garlic powder. Grill on your stove or on a bbq until cooked. Cut chicken into bite size pieces and set aside to cool. Heat refried beans in a pan on the stove or in the microwave until warm. Spread on the bottom of your dish.

To make the football version, we started by smoothing out the beans on the bottom of the pan. Then, sour cream, salsa, shredded cheese, tomatoes & diced olives, lettuce, and finally topped with guacamole. To get the yard lines & hash marks, you just pipe on sour cream. To do that, we just globbed some sour cream in a baggie & cut the corner off.
